Donating sackpacks with essential school supplies and speaking up against bullying were prominent among the ways in which the independent, nonprofit Office Depot Foundation made a difference in 2013. The Foundation, which serves as the primary charitable giving arm of Office Depot, Inc., serves children, families and communities around the world in support of its mission, Listen Learn Care.

The Foundation has played a vitally important role in Office Depot’s corporate citizenship endeavors for two decades. Its strategic priorities, which together are characterized as “The Caring Agenda,” focus on:

  • Giving children tools to succeed in school … and in life.
  • Building the capacity of nonprofit organizations through collaboration and innovation.
  • Helping communities prepare for disasters, as well as recovering and rebuilding afterwards.
