Long-standing commitment to transparency and accuracy

A hallmark of Office Depot’s environmental strategy has been a commitment to transparency and accuracy. For the last seven years we have provided best-in-class transparency on our environmental performance in North America as well as key markets in Europe.

Our approach in the past has been to provide a comprehensive dataset of environmental metrics from our main market in the U.S, a limited dataset from Europe, and no data from other countries. This is driven by the fact that North America and Europe represent the bulk of our global revenue and because we have dedicated resources to track and manage this wide dataset in these regions.

Going forward, Office Depot will attempt to replicate the environmental dashboard for more countries across our global portfolio; and in the future, we plan to establish formal targets for environmental performance improvement.

Telling green for our customers and ourselves

We recognize that just as we want to ‘tell green’ and showcase our environmental programs and wins, many of our customers want to do so the same.
